Review: A Few Favorite Products

Here's a few of my favorite products.  Do you own any of these?  What are some of your favorites?  Let me know in the comments! :-)

1. MAC Fluidline - I have both Blacktrack and Blitz & Glitz.  It's a versatile gel product that works with many looks.  I use Blacktrack (matte black) for retro looks and B&G (black with subtle gold shimmer) for dramatic, modern looks.  Why I love it: it applies smoothly, it lasts all day, it's smudge-proof once it dries.

2. MAC 208 Brush - This tiny fella is one of my fave weapons in my arsenal.  It's good for applying Fluidline and getting in small spaces.  The short bristles are stiff without being immobile.  MAC says it's a brow brush, but I prefer 266 for brows.  Why I love it: it gets the job done and it's versatile.

3. MAC Eyeshadow in Vanilla - Clearly, one of my most used shades (as evidenced by my pan hit).  I've been using this shade for 3 years.  It's perfect as an all over lid color or a highlight under the brow.  Also, with the MAC pro discount, the pan comes out to $7.70 + tax.  Why I love it: it's a soft, complementary basic shade that always looks nice and a great value.

4.  MAC Eyeshadow in Retrospeck - Another most used shade, I'm on my second pan with this.  This is a "lustre" finish, but it matches my skin-tone almost perfectly so the shimmer isn't obnoxious.  It blends easily with other colors, as well, and its my go-to lid color.  Also, with the MAC pro discount, the pan comes out to $7.70 + tax.  Why I love it: wearability, I use this shade on a daily basis.

5.  MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Hang-Up - I love this color because it's a creamy, raspberry shade.  It's just a really pretty color.  I use this with many looks and blot as necessary to vary the intensity.  Why I love it: it's creamy, non-drying and I feel pretty when I wear it.

6.  MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil - This, along with Retrospeck, are the two products I use almost daily.  This color, Buried Treasure (brown black with a subtle gold pearl), goes with every look I've created.  Why I love it: it's long-wearing, waterproof, and applies smoothly.

7.  Tweezerman tweezers - These have a super, super sharp point on them....as in, I accidentally scraped my face and drew blood, ha.  I have to be careful with these, but they snatch and grab hairs like nothing else.  The sharp point gets even the shortest of hairs!  Why I love it: the hair jumps into the tweezers with minimal effort, hehe!

8.  Sephora Cuticle Pusher - 2 words...German Steel; there's a sturdy weightiness to this tool.  Its precise edge is great for pushing back cuticles.  It's also very sharp, so care is required.  I don't see this online anymore, but this product looks comparable. Why I love it: I get good results with little effort.

9. Sephora Cuticle Nippers - 2 words...German Steel.  Another well-made product, the sharp tips are good for accuracy at removing hang-nails and messy pieces of skin.  Why I love it: it's accurate and it hasn't dulled yet.

10.  One 'n Only Argan Oil - This is Sally's version of Moroccan oil.  I did a review on this last summer {here}.  With Sally's discount card, this stuff is around $8.50 a bottle!  A huge savings over the pricier Moroccan Oil name-brand.  Why I love it: smells great, it makes my hair feel soft and it's affordable.

11. Nailtiques - Formula 2 for me.  This is a protein treatment for brittle, weak, and/or peeling nails.  I use this when I get a lot of nail tip breakage. Why I love it: it doesn't takes months to work; I notice results in as little as a week.

12.  Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme - I've been using this product for almost 5 years!  The cuticle creme not only softens the cuticles, I find that my nails grow healthier when I use this nightly.  I like the lemon scent, too.  Why I love it: works as a great maintenance product to keep nails and cuticles conditioned and healthy.

WHOO!! I own and adore the exact same lipstick, MAC's "Hang Up." One of the first three lipstick purchases I ever made at MAC in December. Glad to see this lipstick is being appreciated and loved by someone else!
