This is one of those dresses I look at in my closet searching for the perfect time to wear it. I made it several years ago from clearance rack fabric (if I remember correctly) by combining three different patterns (one is the coffee date dress from Burdastyle) and redrafting a sleeve pattern - and it's polyester with a polyester lining. Not exactly conducive to the Southern heat and humidity. So that leaves early Spring and Fall. But the color works better for Spring - except I didn't wear it this year. So forgive my desire to wear a light aqua dress with the approaching autumn season. It only comes out to play once or twice a year. ;-)
Construction notes: I added a slight puff sleeve with button, used the bodice of a 1970s pattern that my mom owned, lowered the neckline, and changed the back-seam zipper to a hidden side-seam zipper.
And lastly, if you missed the blog sale, you can find it here.
