Outfit Of The Day: Dots & Plaid

Blouse: New York & Company {similar here}
Skirt: Thrifted and altered {DIY here} {similar here} {and here}
Coat: Express {similar here} {and here} {and here}
Shoes: Christian Louboutin "Decollete" {similar here} {and here for $55}
Tights: Ellen Tracy {similar here}
Necklace: Target {similar here} {and here}
Ring: Kendra Scott "Tela Ring" {here}
Bracelets: Vintage
Watch: Michael Kors {here}
Lipstick: MAC M.A.C. Red {buy here}

I don't print-mix too often, but these two patterns, small polka dots and plaid, are subtle enough that they're still in my comfort-zone (which I need to learn to step out of more often!). Have a wonderful weekend!

Also, please update your Google Reader subscriptions with my new url. I've noticed a huge time delay (10+ hours) from when thedapperbun.com and thedapperbun.blogspot.com posts to Reader. Thank you!! :-)

I always do subtle print mixing like this because they're not so bold... I definitely hear you on the comfort-zone thing! Love all your accessories and how that bright red coat adds a punch of colour :)

I know how you feel about pattern-mixing. It's definitely not something I try to do all the time, but this plaid and polka dots look great together. I can only imagine what it feels like in Boston 50 degrees, sans a jacket...ahhhhh.
