Would you believe I bought this black and gold lace peplum blouse about three years ago and have yet to wear it...until now? Every time I put it on, it just didn't feel "right." Now with this particular black pencil skirt and heels, coupled with this particular gold belt and side bun, I was finally happy with the outcome! Do you have anything sitting in your closet, just waiting for the perfect accessories?

I love everything about this outfit!
I have this pair of studded booties that I LOVE, but I haven't found a way to wear them that I feel satisfied with!

This outfit looks so sophisticated and luxurious with the black and gold! The peplum top is so on trend now too! I have a bunch of things in my closet that I'm unsure how to style. It's a bad habit and I'm trying now not to buy something unless I have other things to pair it with. :)

The way you paired it makes it look like a dress! I love it. I've actually been on the lookout for that perfect peplum skirt myself since I've recently become obsessed with the look.

What a lovely look -- the blouse is a keeper!

Heehee -- "side bun"! Literally!!!

Oh, and my black-n-red Ralph Lauren skinny belt (rescued from an old shirt dress about 4 sizes too big) is still awaiting for the right sweater/button-down shirt combo from my belt rack...

Your bunny is adorable!! We have a chinchilla, but he would never sit long enough for me to photograph him in an outfit. Plus, he would probably try to eat my outfit lol.

Love this blouse on you Mary Ann! It's such a classic piece...

And Bandit has been in fine form lately! Seems as though he is getting quite comfortable joining in on the photo shoots :-)

PS - You were totally one of my inspirations for the Kendra Scott post! I used to have 3 of her earrings, but lost a whole bunch of boxes when I moved to Denver (insert HUGE sad face!)and they were in one of them along with the rest of my jewelry. Sigh... Time to start buying more though! :-)
