Hi-Low Dress

Dress: Target {here}
Jacket: Vintage
Shoes: BCBG Max Azria "Agreice" {here}
Bag: Chloé "Paraty"
Earrings: Amrita Singh "East Hampton" {here}
Necklace: Temple St. Clair for Target {similar here}
Ring: Kendra Scott "Tela" {here}
Bracelets: Target and Vintage
Watch: Michael Kors {here} {similar here}
Sunglasses: Chloe "Ammi" {here}
Nails: Chanel "June" {here}

I found this dress at Target recently and loved the scarf-inspired print and "hi-low hem." I realize this kind of hem has gotten mixed reactions, but when a trend has versatility, I tend to like it more. What do I mean? Well, once this hem goes out of style, it will be super easy to cut off the excess fabric and hem this dress to one length. Then it will just be a cute, short knit dress. :-)

Well I for one am a huge fan of the hi-lo hem, think it's so elegant nad interesting...and I love the way dresses/tops move when they are cut that way. Plus, I am on the same page as you--it's worth the investment because it can easily be hemmed up once the trend is out :)

I'm sooooooo GLAD that you commented on my blog so I found yours! I am just loving your style and find you so inspiring, you've got great photos and put great outfits together. Definitely following you!

Oooh, digging the deep color of that leather jacket! It goes perfectly with the print on that dress! And Bandit? Such a great name for a bunny! Didn't know they didn't like to be picked up so thanks for that tip :) Also loving that he wanted some treats from you in that first shot. So adorable. Yup, I'm a huge Bandit fan hehehe

Target has some really adorable dresses lately! What a great idea to cut the hem once the trend goes out of style :)

the dress looks wonderful, and that's quite a good idea to give the dress one length after this trend is over!

Ahh you look great! I love how you paired the leather jacket with the soft dress, the colours are similar but the textures so different but works perfectly!

Love the print on your dress, Mary Ann! I wish this high-low hem looks good on me but maybe I just haven't found the right one yet.

I LOVE it, but I'm a huge fun of the hilo hem or anything asymmetrical! I never would have thought about rehemming but that is a great idea! And I have almost the same vintage leather jacket from my mom!!!!

I am definitely loving the high low hem trend. Sadly, I'm not in my 20s anymore, and having a longer length in back makes me feel more age appropriate.

I came across you site and I love your cute site.

My name Suzana and I live in Atlanta too. I'm happy to know that you are in Atlanta. I have this though, "maybe she's not far away from me" she can be my neighbor" (silly thought huh?)

I love your hi-low hem dress. Yeah I know what you mean. Sometimes the reason I don't follow the trend too much because trend is always has season. It can comeback but it can fade away too.

But since you can sew, I think is easy for you to transform the dress into a cute mini dress. Or even a skirt.

Hey girl.
Uh.... Where do I start? There is so many things I like about your fit. The bangles bring a edge to your pretty dress and the ring and necklace go together like peanut butter and chocolate. The bag...the jacket....Loving it (#Singing)You did a great job pairing.

Pretty, pretty, pretty. I definitely wasn't a fan of the high-low hem to begin with, but it's grown on me in a pretty big way--I especially like it with maxi skirts since it can kind of powerful and warrior-princess-chic. Your dress is darling--I definitely need to hit up Target soon, and your post isn't helping! ;)
