Happy 4th Of July!

Dress: Made by me {similar in blue}
Heels: Brian Atwood "Divine" {similar here and here}
Clutch: Vintage and thrifted {similar here}
Earrings: Made by me {similar here}
Pearls: Gift from my mom {similar here}
Lipstick: MAC "Viva Glam I" {here}
Nails: Essie "Turquoise and Caicos" {here}

I hope you're having a wonderful Independence Day! I have a subtle bit of blue mixed in with my red and white.

I made this dress in a hurry 9 years ago for a video project - after all this time, it still fits and it's still relevant! Fortunately I was able to find this fun video from when I was first learning iMovie. David helped me rip it off my old DVD and convert to .mp4. You'll see my natural hair color, midriff shirts, and (wait for it....) belly button ring, ha! I put this video together for final college class project. I was stumped on what to film and already had the red and white fabric with intentions of making a different sewing project. I had a last minute idea to film me actually making the dress. My then-boyfriend helped me shoot some of the shots and made a cameo appearance at the end (though it's not David, he does kind of look like David from a distance, ha)!

Lastly, don't forget to enter the INPINK giveaway {click here} - remember, everyone who enters will receive a $15 giftcard to INPINK jewelry and 50 people will be randomly selected to win $40! No complicated rules and there's nothing to lose!

That is neato!!! I love how the ladies at the pattern table were just as intent as you on finding the perfect pattern. It's different seeing you with brown/blonde hair! It looks like a lot of work to make a dress :)
