Happy Wednesday friends! Today I'm participating in Marion's Trend of the Month Challenge which is pattern mixing. I don't pattern mix too often, so I pulled several options out of my closet trying to figure out what to do. I find that many patterns I own really do not mix will together, or perhaps I'm just used to playing it safe. Either way, I love stripes and feel confident in them and thought they paired very nicely with the subtle reptile print skirt. It's on the safer side; I stayed in the same color family, too. But I like it and feel confident so - challenge completed!

Great mix of patterns! I've noticed that I'm more comfortable with mixing patterns from the same color family, too. :) I also really like that bracelet watch.
I agree with you, pattern mixing works best when it's in the same color family. That way things don't get toooooo crazy ;)
wow, this skirt has a really nice print. so chic! and love the combo with a striped shirt.

Ah! I love the way you decided to mix patterns. They're still quite drawn together because of the colors (like you said in your post of course) but really, that's what I noticed first about it. Very nice!
