Atlanta's Music Midtown 2012

I had a blast at Music Midtown this year! It was not only my first time at Music Midtown (a long standing concert tradition in Atlanta), but also my first time at a rock concert (I've been to plenty of ballets and symphonies, but never something like this). Since David won two 2-day tickets on the radio (a $200 value), we were able to enjoy this festival without spending too much (other than the overpriced food and drink inside the park). The main acts were Foo Fighers and Pearl Jam, with Garbage, and Florence + The Machine, plus lots of others. Here's some pics and if you grew up listening to '90s alternative rock like me, you'll love my video recap!
David and I enjoying Foo Fighters (Friday night).
This was about half the park. As the day wore on, all the green grassy areas were covered with people. Saturday was a sell-out with over 52,000 people in attendance. Picture taken at the top of the ferris wheel.
These are my Converse from middle school, circa 1994-ish. They were still made in the USA back then and as an 8th grader, I wrote Pearl Jam lyrics on them. It was only fitting I wear them to see Pearl Jam live!
The ferris wheel David and I rode while listening to Adam Ant on Stage 2.

Oh I really love to go but hubby was out of town. Glad you guys had a good time. Next year will try to experience it for the first time. Like you, we go to symphonies too when we live in Houston. The traffic was horrible though so we opted to avoid downtown over the weekend !

Looks like a blast! And how cool that he won tickets on the radio. I bet that made the experience even cooler :)
BTW, love the lace and green look in your earlier post. Lace just seems to be so "Mary Ann" :)
